Welcome to Kindergarten!

Welcome to Mrs. Allard's Kindergarten class! I am so excited to get to be a part of your child's life this year. We are off to a great start, too! We have been learning about all of the stations in our classroom, creating "I Can" charts for our stations, practicing our rules and procedures, and more. This year your child will get to learn through whole group lessons, independent work, stations, "teacher table time", and hands on exploration. You will begin seeing their work coming home on Friday's. We plan to not use as many recording sheets this year because we want to be able to observe the kids' learning through exploration rather than using a paper assignment. When work starts to come home that is a good time to talk to your kids about what they have been learning at school and review their work. We also encourage the kids to do "quality" work. We want them to be proud of their work and do it to the best of their abilities. You can also check our Kindergarten website for newsletter updates of what we have been learning. They will be posted online every other Friday. I will be posting new entries and pictures throguhout the year. Keep checking back to see our updates. I look forward to watching all of your kids grow this year!
